Problem Note 41922: Metadata disappears or becomes corrupted after committing an update to a metadata object
Metadata for an object might disappear or become corrupted after you make a modification, save the object, and then reopen the object. This problem has been specifically reported with metadata for jobs that were created and modified in SAS® Data Integration Studio.
This problem is caused by an error in the way that the metadata server uses internal indexes to manage variable storage in memory. After the variable storage in memory has been compromised, when you commit an update to the metadata server, the metadata corruption is permanently committed to the repository data sets on disk.
This problem only happens when the %OMABAKUP macro has previously been run with the RUNANALYSIS parameter set to Yes.
