When you install SAS 9.2 (T2M3), which came out with revision 10w20, several logs are created in the process. These logs can be sent to SAS Technical Support to help troubleshoot the installation if you encounter problems. The most important log files are the bootstrap.log, the sdw.log, and the mit*.log files, which are described below.
If you run the SAS® Deployment Manager, an sdm.log is created in the same directory as your bootstrap.log file.

C:\Program Files\SAS\SASFoundation\9.2\core\sasinst\reserved\sas.log contains a list of the products that you have selected. For example:

If your temporary directory has not been cleaned up, the sassetup.log is still there. The sassetup.log is usually located on Vista at C:\Users\userid\AppData\Local\Temp\{FF40E37A-032D-4BF2-ACFA-4BA9CF8C255D}\{F9390B82-786C-43CF-A970-D39E23EF0366}. If it is not there, refer to the sasinstall*.log filef.
