Problem Note 4870: Performance problems using Digital TCP/IP services on OpenVMS Alpha
If you are using Version 5.0a of Digital TCP services (also known
as UCX), you may experience performance problems with SAS with regards
to a SAS/SHARE server, Base SAS software or a SAS/CONNECT server
session. The symptom of the poor performance can be recognized by very
high buffered I/O, even during idle server sessions.
To correct this problem, install a different TCP software solution.
