Problem Note 4465: LIBNAME statement WAIT= option may cause
incorrect engine assignment
If a SAS data library is already allocated to another JOB or TSO
session and an attempt is made to allocate it, the WAIT= option of the
LIBNAME statement may be used to wait until the other session has
deallocated the library. However, the library is always (and possibly
incorrectly) assigned the default engine (BASE). The actual engine is
not checked.
You get a NOTE indicating the "LIBREF WAS SUCCESSFULLY ASSIGNED AS
FOLLOWS...", but a subsequent attempt to use the library results in:
ERROR: Library xxxxxx is not in a valid format for access method
SASE7.
