Problem Note 4080: Incorrect intercept values or names in OUTEST= with VALIDVARNAME=V6
option
SAS Note #003360 documents an intercept variable name change in the
OUTEST= data set from INTERCEP to INTERCEPT in several procedures. PROC
LOGISTIC was one of these procedures. However, the suggestion to use
the VALIDVARNAME=V6 global option to generate the name INTERCEP
incorrectly generates the name INTERCPT when the response is binary.
Also, if the response is ordinal so that there are multiple intercepts,
the intercept values are incorrectly assigned to variable names.
Specifically, the first intercept value is lost, the i-th intercept is
assigned to the (i-1)th intercept variable, and the last intercept
variable contains the first covariate's estimate. The values in the
covariate variables are correct. The displayed output is correct.
