By default, SAS Web Report Studio 4.2 logs are written to <SAS-config-dir>\Lev1\Web\Logs. This location is used for the General Purpose Log, as well as the Key User Action Log. (The other SAS Web applications also use this shared location to write log files.) The SAS Web Report Studio General Purpose Log does not have a rollover mechanism enabled by default, which means that the log can grow to be quite large, and, in some cases, unmanageable. As the General Purpose Log grows in size, it also depletes the space available in this directory. This sample shows you how to enable a rollover mechanism for the General Purpose Log that is based on frequency.

| Frequency Pattern | Rollover Frequency |
|---|---|
| '.'yyyy-MM | at the beginning of each month |
| '.'yyyy-ww | at the beginning of each week |
| '.'yyyy-MM-dd | at the beginning of each day (midnight) |
| '.'yyyy-MM-dd-a | at midnight and midday of each day |
| '.'yyyy-MM-HH | at the beginning of each hour |
| '.'yyyy-MM-HH-mm | at the beginning of each minute |
