This display shows the Column Converter task has converted the character value of '251210' to a SAS date formatted as 12-25-2010 in a new data set named ColumnConverted.

To install and use the custom add-in task in SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2, follow these steps:

1. Log on to your SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2 (or later) client machine.
2. Close SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2.
3. Click the following link to retrieve the .dll file.
ColumnConverter.dll
4. Save the .dll file to your SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2 client machine.
5. Start SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2.
6. Select Tools ► Add-In ► Add-In Manager ► Browse.
7. Select and open the .dll file, then click OK to close the Add-In Manager tool.
8. Open some data for the task or run the Sample_Data DATA step code from the Full Code tab.

9. Open the ColumnConverter task by selecting Tools ► Add-In ► Column Converter.
