Installation of the SAS® Clinical Standards Toolkit might fail with the following error displayed in an Install Failure pop-up window:

    
A problem was encountered while installing:
SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit Framework
Would you like to continue with the remaining installs?
"No"  "Yes"  "Yes to All"  "Retry"

The problem occurs because the SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit requires "SAS Foundation" (Base) to be selected during the installation in order to copy some required files. The error will occur if "SAS Foundation" is not selected along with the SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit.

Please note that when you select "SAS Foundation" during the installation process and you already have SAS Foundation for SAS 9.2 (TS2M0) or higher installed, this will only copy selected files needed by the SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit. It will not result in a complete reinstallation of SAS Foundation. However, if you have SAS 9.2 (TS1M0) installed, selecting "SAS Foundation" during the SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit installation will result in an upgrade of SAS Foundation for SAS 9.2 (TS2M0) or higher being installed.

You might also see the following errors in the '9.2cstfrmwrkvrt_install_<datetime>.log' file:

The default location for this log on Windows is:
C:\Program Files\SAS\ClinicalStandardsToolkitFramework\9.2cstfrmwrkvrt_install_<datetime>.log

To circumvent the problem, be sure to select "SAS Foundation" along with the SAS Clinical Standards Toolkit during installation.
