Problem Note 34970: The SASTS engine generates an error when the SAS® Table Server is not licensed or the license is expired
When a LIBNAME statement that contains the SASTS engine is submitted, the following error might occur:
ERROR: The product with which the engine SASTS is associated is either not licensed for your system or the product license has expired.
Please contact
your SAS installation representative.
If this error occurs and you need to utilize the SASTS engine, go to SAS Technical Support Form and create a SAS Technical Support track.
Complete the following steps when submitting the track:
- Open a SAS session and submit the following code and send the output:
proc setinit; run;
- Explain why you are trying to utilize the SASTS engine.
Development and Technical Support will determine if it is appropriate to have a new license generated to allow access to the SAS Table Server engine.
This assessment is based on the application that is using the SASTS engine.
