Usage Note 34722: JPEG image used in ODS RTF, PDF, or HTML might generate errors
The following error messages might occur if a JPEG image is used in the PREIMAGE, POSTIMAGE, or BACKGROUNDIMAGE style attributes with ODS RTF, PDF, or HTML:
NOTE: Format is JPEG but not JFIF
ERROR: Image file type does not match given format, or corrupted file.
ERROR: Unable to load image nameofimage.jpg.
The error occurs if the COLOR SPACE in the image file is CMYK (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-blacK). The image COLOR SPACE must use RGB (Red-Green-Blue) colors.
To circumvent the problem, the image must be edited in an image editing software application to use RGB colors.
