Installation Note 34715: SAS® OnDemand for Academics fails to install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 in the Vista operating environment
If you run the System Requirements Wizard before you install SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide® on Vista 64-bit machines, you receive a message
indicating that a system update is not required. After the installation is complete, the application does not start and returns an error message stating that the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and the .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 are not installed.
To work around this issue, manually run the two installation files that are listed below,
where XXX is the location of your SAS Software Depot for the SAS OnDemand for Academics client:
XXX\srw\redist\dotnet\1.1\en\dotnetfx.exe
XXX\srw\redist\dotnet\SP1\en\NDP1.1sp1-KB876460-X86.exe
