This SAS note contains information about SAS support for Windows 7.

SAS^® 9.1.3 Service Pack 4

There are no current plans to add support for Windows 7 in SAS 9.1.3 Service Pack 4.

SAS^® 9.2

• SAS supports the Education Analytical Suite on Windows 7 Home Premium editions and higher, beginning in December 2009, with the second maintenance release for SAS 9.2 (TS2M2) Revision 09w51 and later, with the exception of the SAS/ACCESS^® solutions, as described below in this SAS Note.

  Note: SAS^® Enterprise Guide^® 4.2 is supported in this configuration.

• SAS support includes Basic (or nonplanning) orders (also known as SAS^® Foundation) and excludes Planning orders for the following Windows 7 editions (both 32-bit and x64):
  
  
  • Professional
  • Ultimate
  • Enterprise

    This support began in December 2009 with SAS 9.2 (TS2M2) Revision 09w51.

    Note: SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2 is supported in this configuration.
    

• SAS 9.2 plans further support for all products and solutions on Windows 7 in the third maintenance release for SAS 9.2 (TS2M3) with a two-part phased-support schedule as follows:
  
  
  1. Approximately second quarter 2010: delivery of SAS 9.2 (TS2M3) begins.

     Support includes the SAS Foundation servers and the server tier of the SAS^® Business Intelligence platform (SAS^® Metadata Server, SAS^® Stored Process Server, workspace, and OLAP servers), SAS^® Enterprise Guide, SAS^® Data Integration Studio, SAS^® Information Map Studio, SAS^® Management Console, SAS^® OLAP Cube Studio.

     Support excludes SAS^® Add-In for Microsoft Office, SAS^® Content Server, and SAS Web-based clients (products such as SAS^® Web Report Studio and SAS^® Information Delivery Portal).

  2. Four-to-eight weeks after the initial release of SAS 9.2 (TS2M3): delivery of release 4.3 of the middle tier and client SAS Business Intelligence software begins with support for SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, SAS Content Server, and SAS Web-based clients (products such as SAS Web Report Studio and SAS Information Delivery Portal).

  • SAS support personnel at your site can determine whether you have the latest SAS 9.2 revision. To contact the on-site SAS support personnel for your site, go to Administrator Services and in the Manage Your Accounts section, select Find SAS Support Personnel at Your Site or Send a Message to the SAS Installation Contact at my Company.
    
    
  • If you have access to the SAS Software Depot or media from which your SAS installation was performed, you can use it to find this information. Go to the installation-document-folder\order-number folder and open the soi.html file. For example, if the order number is 123456, the directory path for your installation information would look similar to the following:
    
    
    Z:\SAS Software Depot\order_data\123456\soi.html
    
    

    The revision number as displayed in the file would look similar to the following:
