Problem Note 34414: SAS® program file content gets deleted when you copy or promote a job with multiple references to the same SAS program file
If a SAS® Data Integration Studio job contains two or more references to the same SAS program file and you use Copy and Paste to make a copy of that job, the SAS program file will be empty after performing the Paste. This means that the original job, as well as the copy, now reference an empty SAS program file, and both jobs will not function as expected.
If you use Partial Promotion (Export and Import) to copy this job to a different metadata environment, the SAS program file will exist in the target environment, but it will no longer contain any code.
This problem occurs if the references to the same file exist across any combination of the following locations within a single job definition:
- pre- or post- processing in job properties
- user-written code transformations
- custom transformations
- process tab in properties of any transformation
