Problem Note 34410: Column names that contain special characters are not handled correctly during Update Table Metadata processing
When the Update Table Metadata process is run against any existing table defined in metadata with column names containing special characters, these columns get incorrectly deleted.
New columns, with the special characters replaced with underscores, get added instead.
This deletion and addition of columns results in a loss of all associations to the original columns throughout all SAS® Data Integration Studio jobs.
In addition, any associations througout metadata that were linked to the original column definitions are also lost.
