User-created AUTOCALL macros can be used in stored processes when the autocall library is configured using one of three methods:
Method 1: Store the .sas files for the user-created AUTOCALL macros in the !SASHOME\SASFoundation\9.4\core\sasmacro (Windows), or !SASROOT/sasautos (UNIX) directory, or the sasprefix.AUTOLIB (z/OS) PDS along with the SAS® supplied AUTOCALL macros.
Method 2: Store the .sas files for the user-created AUTOCALL macros in the directory where the SAS® Application Servers in the BI environment automatically looks for additional AUTOCALL macros:
SAS-configuration-directory\Lev1\SASApp\SASEnvironment\SASMacro (for Windows) SAS-configuration-directory/Lev1/SASApp/SASEnvironment/SASMacro (for UNIX) ./SASEnvironment/SASMacro (for z/OS)
Method 3: Store the .sas files for the user-created AUTOCALL macros in a directory other than the ones listed above, which must be concatenated into the SASAUTOS system option search path. The default SASAUTOS directory search path is determined when SAS initializes by reading the SAS configuration files associated with the installation.
Multiple SAS configuration files are read by default when a stored process is executed through a workspace server or a stored process server. For example, in a Windows environment, the SAS configuration files read by default by a stored process server are similar to the following:
Note: The search path for SASAUTOS, along with more configuration file settings, can be echoed in the server log by invoking SAS with the –VERBOSE system option.
Choose on of the following methods to append your custom AUTOCALL macro path to the SASAUTOS path for use with stored processes:
