Usage Note 30519: SAS® Financial Management reporting formula values do not roll up to the parent member, beginning with version 4.4
In SAS Financial Management 4.4, the formula type must be modeling for formula results to roll up in a hierarchy.
Beginning in release 4.4, this functionality is no longer available for reporting formula types.
For instance, in SAS Financial Management 4.3, reporting formulas generate the following results:
Total (roll up of A + B) 200
Account A 100 (this value is entered/loaded into the system)
Account B (= Account A) 100 (this value is calculated via a reporting formula)
If reporting formulas are used in SAS Financial Management 4.4, the result is:
Total (roll up of A + B) 100 (entered value rolls up; reporting formula does not)
Account A 100 (this value is entered/loaded into the system)
Account B (= Account A) 100 (this value is calculated via a reporting formula)
In SAS Financial Management 4.4, use a modeling formula (instead of a reporting formula) if you want Total to equal the value of Account A + Account B.

If formula results are intended to roll up in a hierarchy for SAS Financial Management 4.4., the formula type must be modeling.
