Problem Note 30488: Error occurs when you view .pdf files from the SAS Software Navigator
You might see the following error when you open a PDF file from the SAS Software Navigator:
Unexpected Error
Unexpected error encountered performing this action.
Error code: -1
OK
This error can occur if the PDFViewer value that is defined in the ssnprefs.xml file points to an invalid PDF Viewer. If that value points to an invalid PDF viewer, the SAS Software Navigator cannot open a PDF viewer.
To correct this error, open the ssnprefs.xml file on
the Windows operating system and modify the PDFViewer value.
The ssnprefs.xml file is located at C:\Documents and Settings\. In the ssnprefs.xml file, correct the PDFViewer value by either removing that line or changing it to blank (""). The SAS Software Navigator will locate the correct PDF viewer the next time you run the SAS Software Navigator setup.
