Problem Note 3702: Incorrect survival estimates possible in the BASELINE and OUTPUT data
sets with METHOD=PL
Incorrect survival estimates can be produced by PROC PHREG for METHOD=PL
in the BASELINE and OUTPUT datasets. The point at which the estimates
are affected varies by operating system, number of distinct event times
in the data and number of covariates (independent variables) in the
MODEL statement.
We recommend specifying the option METHOD=CH on the BASELINE or OUTPUT
statement to produce survival estimates. If the product limit estimates
are desired, one may use METHOD=PL in Version 8 (TS0M0).
