Problem Note 3691: SMTP email method ignores the -EMAILID option
The SMTP email method will ignore the -EMAILID option set in the
configuration file. The emailid used will be the one that is used
by default when the customer sends email.
To circumvent the problem, use the FROM= option on the FILENAME
statement when using the EMAIL option. This will work in
in local intranet circumstances but not when the message is
sent to external internet customers.
For OS/390 mainframe operating system the SENDER= option could be used
once the hotfix is applied. If the SENDER option is not used the
emailid used will be the TSO userid. This is ok in most cases but in
the case where the id is not a valid id for email (ex. @abcd) and the
receiver of the email pings back to validate the sender then the email
may be interpreted as 'spam'.
