Problem Note 3605: BREAK statement and an ACROSS variable with a DISPLAY and ANALYSIS
variables underneath may cause error
If PROC REPORT code has a GROUP variable and an ACROSS variable over a
DISPLAY and ANALYSIS variable or statistic, then a system specific error
may be produced. The problem occurs when a BREAK statement is associated
with the GROUP variable.
For example:
COLUMN GROUP ACROSS,(DISPLAY ANALYSIS);
BREAK AFTER GROUP/ ;
The only workaround is to remove the BREAK statement.
