Problem Note 3397: Owner and group information not preserved when re-writing a SAS data set
on UNIX
In Version 8 of the SAS System, when an existing SAS data set is
re-written, the owner and group information are set according to the
user running the job. Version 6.12 of the SAS System preserved the
existing owner and group information when re-writing SAS data sets.
