You can use the extension of the data set and the release number of SAS on 68K Mac and/or a PowerMAC to assist you in grouping UNIX compatible plaforms. The MIPS ABI platforms like SGI are running Release 6.10 and have the .ssd01 extension. You can use the data sets between these two compatible platforms without using a transport file.

The HP, SUN (SUN4 and SOLARIS2), and AIX are running Release 6.09 and have the extension .ssd01 . The data sets on these platforms are compatible with the 68K and PowerMAC and could be used without conversions via transport files.
