Usage Note 21002: When adding a SAS Base Engine Library in the SAS Management
Console, the New or Edit selections for the Path Specification might be
grayed out
When working in SAS Management Console, you might not be able to define
a new library.
To reproduce this, perform the following steps:
- Select Data Library Manager.
- Highlight SAS Libraries, right click and select New Library.
- Under SAS Libraries, click on SAS Base Engine Library and click
Next.
- Type in the Name for the new SAS Base Engine Library and click
Next.
- You can not select New or Edit for the Path Specification because
they are grayed out.
If this happens, check the JRE versions that are installed on your
system.
The resolution is to make sure you have the SAS Private JRE 1.4.2_09
installed.
