Problem Note 20489: Process Designer does not respond as expected when you manage multiple
connections between two transformations
When you work with transformations that support multiple outputs or
inputs, you might encounter unexpected behavior when you make
connections or disconnections between those transformations.
The following scenarios generate incorrect results:
1. If you connect two or more output branches from a SAS® splitter to
input branches of a transformation, like Append or SQL Join, Process
Designer shows only one of the branches as connected. However, if
you open Properties on the target transformation, all branches are
connected. If you save the job, then reopen it, all branches show
as connected within Process Designer.
2. If you have two or more branches connected between a SAS splitter and
another transformation, like Append or SQL Join, any attempt to
disconnect one of the branches results in all branches being
disconnected. In Process Designer it appears as if only one branch is
disconnected. However, if you open Properties on the target
transformation, you find that all connections have actually been
disconnected. If you save the job, then reopen it, all branches
show as disconnected within Process Designer.
These issues will be address in an upcoming hot fix.
