Problem Note 20455: Note and document objects are duplicated in the target repository during
a partial-promotion import
If you import a SAS package (.SPK) file that contains note or document
objects that already exist in your target repository, then duplicates of the
note or document objects are created.
The cause of the problem could be that the note or document object does not have a folder
association within the Custom tab. See SAS Note 020451 for more details.
If the note or document object does have a folder association within the Custom tab, then
make sure that you launched the import process at the correct folder level.
(The folder level is based on your SAS package file content.) If both of these criteria
are met, then the import logic contains a flaw.
If you choose not to install the hot fix, the only workaround for this issue is to
delete the existing note or document objects in the target repository before you
import the SAS package file. To prevent broken links in the target repository, make
sure that your SAS package file (which is the result of a partial-promotion export)
contains all of the objects that reference the note or document object.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
