Problem Note 20451: Note and document objects are created without custom folder associations
When you create a note or document object in metadata (by selecting Add
within the Notes tab of the Properties dialog box for an object), you do
not have any way to associate this new note or document to a folder in
the Custom tree within this interface.
A note or document is not required to have a Custom folder association;
however, this lack of folder association will pose a problem if you
attempt to use partial promotion (Export/Import) to move this note or
document to another metadata repository.
You can work around this issue by performing the following steps:
- Launch SAS® Data Integration Studio.
- Select the Inventory tree.
- Expand either the Notes or Documents icons, as applicable.
- Select (highlight) the note or the document that does not have any
Custom folder association.
- Select Edit ► Move to Folder... from the menu bar.
- Navigate and select an appropriate Custom tree folder.
- Select OK to save this association
Note: You can check the current Custom folder association for any object by opening the Properties dialog box for the object and viewing the
Folder value on the General tab. You can also set or change the folder via
the Select button.
