Problem Note 19727: Incorrect results when AGGREGATE= variables are formatted
If the SCALE= and AGGREGATE= options are specified in the MODEL
statement, and if a variable specified in AGGREGATE= option is formatted
in such a way as to combine categories of the original variable, then
the calculation of degrees of freedom for the Pearson and deviance
statistics is incorrect, leading to an incorrect estimate of the scale
parameter, incorrect standard errors of the parameters, and incorrect
p-values for tests of the parameters.
For any formatted variable specified in AGGREGATE=, you can avoid the
problem by creating an unformatted variable with the desired values.
The PUT function in the DATA step can be used to create a new variable
from an old one, applying a format to the values.
