Usage Note 19686: Using LAM on AIX to authenticate against LDAP
To use LDAP authentication on AIX, the native Loadable Authentication
Module (LAM) system must be configured to authenticate via LDAP.
The LAM-supported sasauth must be installed in SAS_9.1/utilities/bin, and it must be setuid root.
In the following example, !SASROOT is the absolute path to the SAS_9.1 directory:
$ su root
# cd !SASROOT/utilities/bin
# chown root sasauth
# chmod 4755 sasauth
# exit
For more information on configuring AIX to use LDAP, refer to the following documentation:
Integrating AIX into Heterogeneous LDAP Environments
Please note that this link is not owned by SAS, so we have no
control over its existence.
The sasauth file is located on the SAS FTP site:
ftp://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/unix/ZQJsasauth.aixssha.zip
The debug version is also located on the SAS FTP site:
ftp://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/unix/ZQJsasauth.aixssha.debug.zip
