Problem Note 18816: Lowercase informat names are ignored by the SASĀ® Add-In for Microsoft Office
Informats that are applied to a SAS data set in metadata might be ignored when you open the data set with
the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office.
The problem occurs when the informat name is lowercase instead of uppercase, which is the default.
You can encounter this problem in particular if you change the case of the informat name in SAS® Data
Integration Studio.
To resolve the problem, change the informat name to uppercase.
