Problem Note 18287: Macro variable names defined in a generated transformation revert back
to default when job is deployed
Generated transformations allow you to override the default macro
variable names that reference transformation input and output tables.
If you do not override the defaults, these macro variable names are
generated as follows:
_INPUT0 − _INPUTx and _OUTPUT0 − _OUTPUTy, where x is the the number of
input tables − 1 and y is the number of output tables − 1.
In some situations, the macro variable names revert back to their
default values during job deployment and this results in errors because
the transformation code expects the name overrides.
Possible workarounds to this problem are:
- Change the transformation code so it references the default macro
variable names.
- Replace the deployed code file with the contents of the Source window
because this will always contain the name overrides.
