Problem Note 18096: SAS® Information Map Studio hangs for a minute when you select File -->

If you have opened a large SAS Information Map in SAS Information Map
Studio and then you select File ► New, SAS Information Map Studio may
hang for over a minute while it cleans out the old map from memory.
During this time, the application does not respond and the progress
indicator does not appear.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
