Problem Note 17984: SASĀ® Add-In for Microsoft Office incorrectly prompts for the active
data source when Microsoft Excel contains a blank column of data
When you analyze spreadsheet data, the SAS Add-In for
Microsoft Office incorrectly prompts for the active data source when
you attempt any task.
.
This problem occurs when Excel contains a blank column of data that only
has a header row. You can do either of the following to prevent the
problem:
- Add a zero (0) to the column data before you attempt to analyze
the data.
- Cut and paste the blank column so that it becomes the last column
in your spreadsheet. Then select the previous columns of data
before you attempt the analysis.
