Problem Note 15538: PROC SORT fails when routing SORTWKxx data sets to tape
In SAS Release 8.2 TS2M0, when sorting a SAS data set and routing the
SORTWKxx data sets to tape, the sort will fail with the following error
message:
ERROR: Host sort cannot be used.
If the SORTMSG option was specified, you will also see the following
DFSORT messages in the SYSOUT dataset:
ICE802I 0 BLOCKSET TECHNIQUE IN CONTROL
ICE751I 0 C5-Q95214 C6-Q95214 C7-BASE C8-Q95214 E7-Q95214
ICE800I 0 BLOCKSET TECHNIQUE COULD NOT BE USED - REASON CODE IS 17
The problem is correct in the SAS System 9.
