Problem Note 15017: Segmentation Violation error issued intermittently when accessing a
Sybase server that is not available
When attempting to connect to a Sybase server that is not available
(for example, the Sybase server process is shut down but the Sybase
system hardware is active), SAS/ACCESS will crash and issue the
following errors. This sometimes leaves SAS in an indeterminate state
where further connections to (valid) Sybase servers cannot be made.

This is a problem with the connection handle intermittently getting
trashed if the connection is not made, as is the case if the server is
down. This may cause a Segmentation Violation error when the ctlib
error routine referencing the connection handle is called.
To resolve this problem, apply the HOTFIX.
