Usage Note 14133: "Catalog temp1.data does not exist or is locked by another process"
error messages when double-clicking SAS programs from Windows Explorer
When you open a SAS program from the Windows Explorer, the following
message appears:
The catalog temp1.data does not exist or is locked by another
process.
The problem can occur even when you have run the setup register
program that is documented in SAS Note #16399 .
This message appears because the operating system can sometimes block
the action of reregistering the files at the userID level. You can
determine if this has occured by following these steps:
1. Invoke Windows Explorer.
2. Select Tools>Folder Options.
3. Select the SAS filetype.
The Change and Restore buttons appear instead of the
Change and Advanced buttons
5. Select the Restore button and the Advanced button
will appear.
This restores the action appropriately at the userID level.
