Problem Note 14530: Performance enhancements for SAS® Financial Management 4.0
In SAS Financial Management 4.0, there are performance issues associated
with various aspects and components of the system. These are listed
below:
- Performance issues associated with traversing large dimensions
- Formulas for calculated members execute for all cells, where
data may or may not exist, instead of a defined scope of applicable
data
- For a non-distributive formula defined as ALL type formula, the
formula resolution phase generates redundant crossings, producing
delayed query results
- Performance issues associated with with loading and processing data
entry forms
- Performance issues associated with the Excel Add-In for SAS Financial
Management reporting, including calculated values, workbook processing,
formulas with multiple CDA elements and slicer processing
