Problem Note 14134: Slow performance with FWRITE function in SAS Component Language
If you are using the FWRITE function in SAS Component Language to
write to an external file, you might notice that the processing time used
by this function is noticeably slower than it was with Release 6.12.
For directory based systems, this is true with files that are stored on
either a local or network drive.
To somewhat improve processing time, use the FAPPEND function in place
of the FWRITE function.
