Usage Note 13248: "Unable to establish a connection to the requested metadata server"
error message appears when logging into SAS Management Console
When you logging into the SAS Management Console, the following error
message might appear:
Unable to establish a connection to the requested metadata server.
If this happens perform the following:
1. Verify your instructions from the pre-Installation steps.

2. Select Start>Settings>Control Panel>Administrative Tools and check
which SAS servers are listed and started, for example: SAS Lev1
MS. Restart those not started.
3. Make sure that your userIDs and policies are correct.
4. Make sure that your Windows passwords have not expired.
If you still have the same error, send your MetadataServer log
file to Technical Support. This is located in the following directory:
C:\SAS\*ProjectName*\Lev1\SASMain\MetadataServer\logs
For example: C:\SAS\BIServer\Lev1\SASMain\MetadataServer\logs. Note
that your path might vary.
