Problem Note 13213: Unable to change the starting location of FILE navigation when using SAS
Open Metadata Server Repository with Enterprise Guide
When using the SAS Open Metadata Server Repository with Enterprise
Guide, the starting location for the FILE folder always points to the
location of the SASUSER library (user root). Regardless of what value
is specified on the File Navigation Tab of the Workspace Server
definition in SAS Management Console, the starting location remains
unchanged.
For example, if the userid used to login to the Metadata Server was
"sasdemo", and the File Navigation in SAS Management Console was set to
"C:\temp":
(In SAS Management Console)
-right-click on the "Workspace Server" in Server Manager
-select "Properties"
-select "Options" tab
-select "Advanced Options" button
-select "File Navigation" tab
-select Path and specify "c:\temp"
-OK
The location of the FILE folder in Enterprise Guide would start in:
C:\Documents and Settings\sasdemo\My Documents\My SAS Files\9.1
To correct the problem, you must do the following:
1.) SAS has to be running 9.1.3 or later.
2.) Apply the Technical Support hot fix to the Enterprise
Guide client:
