Usage Note 12964: The menu or toolbars for the SASĀ® Add-In for Microsoft Office might be missing
After you install the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, the SAS menu or the add-in toolbars might be missing in Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word files. The problem can exhibit a couple of different symptoms:
- The SAS menu or toolbars are present in Word but not in Excel.
- The SAS menu or toolbars are missing for one user ID, but they are present for others.
To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
- Select Help ► About Microsoft Excel.
- Click the
Disabled Items button.
- Select the SAS product and click the
Enable button.
- Restart Excel.
For Office 2007:
- Open Excel 2007, then click the
Office button in top left corner of the Excel window.
- Click
Excel Options, then click
Add-Ins in the left navigation pane.
- In the
Manage text box at the bottom, select
Disabled Items, then click
Go.
- Enable SAS.
