Problem Note 12912: FTP engine may cause SAS to terminate abnormally
When using the FTP engine, if the remote host sends back
a message greater than 256 bytes, memory may be trashed and
cause SAS to terminate abnormally.
Typically, the error seen in the log is:
WARNING: Truncated record.
This may be accompanied with a message similar to the following:
Segmentation Violation In Task [ DATASTEP ]
Fault Occurred at [0x900000000b64b44(?)]
Task Traceback
xxrinfo+0x38 -- bridge stub
dsxxini+0x38 -- bridge stub
_uc_trampoline+0xfffffffffffffffc
One possible solution is to request that the system administrator
shorten the offending message to less than 256 bytes.
