Problem Note 12593: BAE hangs when processing with variable defined with incorrect string
using TOTIME function
The Behavior Analysis Engine may hang during processing if the TOTIME
function is used with an invalid character string. A sample scenario is
the following:
1) Add a DateTime variable
2) Select ToTime from the 'Insert a Function' pulldown
3) Place cursor in the string field near the bottom of the window
4) Select ‘CustomerID’ from the ‘Insert a Customer Variable’
pulldown
5) Click <OK> at the bottom of the window
6) Click <OK> to build the expression
7) Select File/Save
8) Process the data files
The application will hang. No errors given in the consoles.
The Engine log may show the message
JMS Reader thread terminated abnormally.
Although the value selected for the time function was not a valid
value, the application should not hang.
