Usage Note 12386: "Error: The minimum system requirements are not met", SRW in loop, when
installing SAS 9.1, SAS 9.1.2, or the SAS Add-in for Microsoft
Office on a Win2003 Server machine
When you install SAS 9.1, SAS 9.1.2, or the SAS Add-in for Microsoft
Office (AMO) on a Win2003 Server machine, the System Requirements Wizard
(SRW) might go into a perpetual loop.
When the SRW finishes running, a message appears that indicates that
our system requirements have been updated. When you attempt to
install SAS 9.1, 9.1.2, or AMO, the following error message appears:
Error: The minimum system requirements are not met.
To correct this problem install the Microsoft Runtime Components 7.0:
1. Place your SAS Setup CD in your CD-ROM drive.
2. When the autorun opens, close this window.
3. Click on Start>Run, click Browse, point your CD-ROM drive
to <drive>:\srw\bundles\vcredst7\setup.exe, and select Open.
4. Select OK.
This has been corrected in SAS 9.1.3.
