Problem Note 10158: Format names created for infocubes in SAS/ACCESS to SAP BW are not
descriptive
SAS/ACCESS to SAP BW offers the option to create formats for class
variables of a cube. The term 'Class Variables' refers to the key
InfoObjects in the dimension tables of an InfoCube.
The names of these SAP BW InfoObjects can not always be used to name the
formats generated in SAS from their text tables because the length of
format names is limited to seven characters. In such cases, SAS/ACCESS
to SAP BW generates unique numerical format names which are not
descriptive of the related InfoObject. For example the format for
InfoObject E_PRODUCT may be named _01001_.
The hot fix generates descriptions in the format catalog for these
system generated formats which link the formats to the InfoObjects. For
example the format for InfoObject E_PRODUCT named _01001_ will now be
assigned the description E_PRODUCT.
