Problem Note 10951: SAS/CONNECT client times out or fails to authenticate when supplying
valid credentials to UNIX SAS Job Spawner
If a SAS/CONNECT client supplies a valid userid and password to connect
to a UNIX SAS Job Spawner (sastcpd), the client may timeout or fail to
authenticate.
This problem is likely to occur if the SAS/CONNECT client first supplies
an invalid userid or password, followed by a valid userid or password.
If valid credentials are supplied first, then the SAS/CONNECT session is
established.
A trace of the SAS/CONNECT client after the initial invalid userid or
password would display the following in the SAS Log:
:Invalid username/password, access denied.
GoodbyeERROR: Script file interpretation terminated due to error.
NOTE: End of script file trace.
ERROR: A communication subsystem partner link setup request failure
has occurred.
ERROR: recv call failed, lost connection with client.
ERROR: Remote signon to MYNODE cancelled.
A trace of the SAS/CONNECT client after supplying a valid userid and
password would display the following in the SAS Log:
TRACE: timeout:
TRACE: Log 'ERROR: Timeout waiting for remote session response.';
ERROR: Timeout waiting for remote session response.
TRACE: Abort;
NOTE: End of script file trace.
ERROR: A communication subsystem partner link setup request failure
has occurred.
ERROR: Communication script processing aborted.
ERROR: Remote signon to MYNODE cancelled.
