Usage Note 10751: "Setup error: string variable is not large enough for string, check the
string declarations, error 401" message appears during SAS Release 8.2
install
During the SAS Release 8.2 install, the following error message might
appear:
Setup Error:
String variable is not large enough for string. Check the string
declarations. Error 401.
This error might occur when you install from the SAS/Shared
Components CD.
This error can be caused by dust on the surface of the CD.
To circumvent the problem, clean the CD with a soft cloth.
