Usage Note 10381: Problems displaying ODS PDF files from SAS/IntrNet Application Server
Using Adobe Acrobat to display PDF files within an Internet Explorer
(IE) browser window may cause problems with SAS/IntrNet-generated PDF.
In some cases the PDF will display as a blank document. This appears
to happen mostly with short PDF documents and Acrobat 4.0 or 5.0.
Internet Explorer will send two or (in some cases) three identical
requests for PDF content when Acrobat is used as an IE plug-in (three
requests are made for IE 4.x and 5 and two requests are made for IE 5.5.

The circumvention is to configure the browser to open the PDF file in a
separate (pop-up) window (instead of inline within the browser) as
follows:
1. Start Acrobat Reader and choose Edit --> Preferences
2. Select Options and deselect "Display PDF in Browser" then click "OK"
Netscape Navigator users are not affected by this problem.
