Problem Note 10252: Segmentation violation using the FILEVAR= option with the FTP engine on
a FILE statement
Using the FILEVAR= option on a FILE statement together with the FTP
engine may result in segmentation violations similar to the following:
Segmentation Violation In Task [ DATASTEP ]
Fault Occurred at [/path/to/sas:vmfree_handler+0x4]
This problem occurs only when a FILE statement contains both the
FILEVAR= option and the FTP engine, and the FILE statement is not
executed in the step.
To circumvent, ensure that any FILE statement that uses both the
FILEVAR= option and the FTP engine is executed in the step.
Alternatively, add a FILENAME statement that defines a fileref of the
same name and access method that are used on the FILE statement.
