Usage Note 10241: Variables with embedded commas generate problems when using the CSV and
CSVALL destinations
Variables that include embedded commas cause problems in the
experimental CSV and CSVALL destinations for SAS 8.2.
When the embedded comma is seen, the value after the comma is placed in
a separate cell in Excel. If a variable contains both last and first
names separated by a comma, the variable will end up in two separate
cells.
