Usage Note 23: Search capability in SAS OnlineDoc using Netscape browsers
When searching the Online documentation on UNIX host platforms, if you
performed a local install (i.e., non-webserver), the search engine will
only work with Netscape Navigator, Version 4.06 and higher.
When searching the Online documentation on Windows 95, Windows 98, and
Windows NT, if you performed a local install (i.e., non-webserver) by
copying the files to disk, the Java applet interface and the search
engine may produce inexplicable results when viewed using Netscape
Navigator and Netscape Communicator. The version 8 Online Documentation
works successfully with Netscape 4.06.
V8 Online Documentation does not work with Netscape Version 6 or higher
because its distributed with Java 1.3.1 Refer to Sas Note sn008953 for
more information.
